What's in the box?

You have the choice between three sizes:

  • Small (£12): 1 person, 6-8 items

  • Medium Box (£15): 2/3 person, 10 items

  • Family Size (£20):  3/4 person, 12-14 items

Home delivery fee applies (£1) - see below

During summer time this can include: lettuce, onions, garlic, beans, carrots, beetroots, radish, cucumbers, tomatoes, chard/spinach, kale, courgettes and fresh herbs (basil, parsley), fruit (apples, plums, pears, berries, damsons

During autumn/winter: lettuce, leeks, squash, cabbages, kale, parsnips, carrots, potatoes, onions, swede/turnips, eggs (optional), apple juice and other seasonal produce.

We also buy from other organic farms in the winter months in addition to what we grow on our plot (e.g. pears, potatoes).

How does it work?

You subscribe for a season's veg box (or both seasons):

  • Summer Veg Box: from June to end of September 1st (15 weeks)

  • Autumn/Winter Veg Box: from October to end of December (15 weeks).

What about summer holidays?

As ecological small scale producers we need to be supported by our customers ("veg boxers") so that we can plan, invest and deliver fresh and nutritious food to you. Summer is the most productive time but we understand everyone needs a break. If you are planning to be away during the summer then we offer a pause option with 3 weeks notice required so we can find another home for your box. Alternatively, you can donate your box to a neighbour or we can offer it to the amazing Kinder Kitchen project

How can I pay?

You can pay for your whole subscription at the start of the season (one off payment) or on a monthly basis. We prefer bank transfer as it is easier than cash when we deliver door-to-door.

Can I swap items in my box?

As we are a small producer and have a limited availability of produce we would rather not swap too many items. However, if you really don't like a veg please you can swap 1 item. Just let us know at the start of the season.

Trial box
We offer a small number of trial boxes available to collect from the farm on Friday afternoons if you would like to sample our produce before committing to joining the veg box family! email middlegroundgrowers@outlook.com for more information.

Where do we deliver?

All our deliveries are done by e-bikes. We have two options:

- Home delivery: we can deliver easily up to a few miles from our market gardens in Bathampton & Weston (see map - although we now also do Upper Weston!). Our priority delivery areas are: Bathampton, Batheaston, Canal Path, Weston and Bath Centre. Home delivery fee applies (£1).

- Collection: you can collect at a neighborhood hub. We currently drop off boxes at: Oak Restaurant, Landrace Bakery and two collection hubs in Upper Weston and Batheaston. Bear Flat collection option and possibly others to be added in 2022!

If you are unsure please get in touch. You can also come and collect directly from the farm.
