What's in the box?
You have the choice between two sizes:
Classic Box (£14): individual size (1-2 person), 7+ items
Family Size (£20): family size (3-4 person), 10+ items
During summer time this can include: lettuce, onions, garlic, beans, carrots, beetroots, radish, cucumbers, tomatoes, chard/spinach, kale, courgettes and fresh herbs (basil, parsley), fruit (apples, plums, pears, berries, damsons)
During autumn/winter: lettuce, leeks, squash, cabbages, kale, parsnips, carrots, potatoes, onions, swede/turnips, eggs (optional), apple juice and other seasonal produce.
We also buy from other organic farms in the winter months in addition to what we grow on our plot (e.g. pears, potatoes).
How does it work?
You subscribe for a season's veg box (or both seasons):
Summer Veg Box: from June to October 1st (16 weeks) - 0 spaces available SOLD OUT
Autumn/Winter Veg Box: from 15th October to 17th December (10 weeks).
***NEW!*** Summer Special 12 weeks July 16th - October 1st (8 spaces available - order your box ASAP!)
What about summer holidays?
As ecological small scale producers we need to be supported by our customers ("veg boxers") so that we can plan, invest and deliver fresh and nutritious food to you. Summer is the most productive time but we understand everyone needs a break. If you are planning to be away during the summer then we offer a pause option with 3 weeks notice required so we can find another home for your box. Alternatively, you can donate your box to a neighbour or we can offer it to the amazing Kinder Kitchen project.
How can I pay?
You can pay for your whole subscription at the start of the season (one off payment) or on a monthly basis. We prefer bank transfer as it is easier than cash when we deliver door-to-door.
Can I swap items in my box?
As we are a small producer and have a limited availability of produce we would rather not swap too many items. However, if you really don't like a veg please you can swap 1 item. Just let us know at the start of the season.
We offer a small number of trial boxes available to collect from the farm on Friday afternoons if you would like to sample our produce before committing to joining the veg box family! email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Where do we deliver?
All our deliveries are done by e-bikes.
We can deliver easily up to a few miles from the market garden in Bathampton (see map).
Our priority delivery areas are: Bathampton, Batheaston, Canal Path, Weston and Bath Centre.
If you are unsure please get in touch. You can also come and collect directly from the farm.
When do we deliver?
Summer Veg Box: Fridays between 12pm and 5pm.
Autumn/Winter Veg Box: Fridays between 12pm and 4pm.
What if I am not at home?
Please let us know where to leave the box. It can be outside your door, under the porch or a container (ideally a dry place), or with a neighbour.
